How to Register to Vote

To vote in the upcoming Cherokee Nation Election, you must be a registered Cherokee Nation voter. If you’re not registered, be sure to complete the process before the March 31, 2025 deadline.

Ways to Register:

  • Pick up a voter registration application from the Cherokee Nation Election Commission Office

  • Contact the Election Commission at (918) 458-5899 to have an application mailed or emailed to you

  • Print an application from the Download and print the form here.

  • Attend a community or services meeting where voter registration forms are available

Important Election Dates

Be prepared for the Cherokee Nation General Election with these key dates for registration, absentee ballots, early voting, and Election Day.

Voter Registration & Absentee Ballots

  • March 31, 2025 – Voter Registration Deadline

  • April 7, 2025 – Absentee Ballot Request Deadline

Early Walk-In Voting & Absentee Drop Box

  • May 31, June 3, 4, 5, 2025 – Early Walk-In Voting for the General Election

  • July 19, 22, 23, 24, 2025 – Early Walk-In Voting for the Runoff Election

Election Days

  • June 7, 2025 – General Election for Districts 2, 4, 5, 7, 9, 10, 11, 15, and One At-Large Seat

  • July 26, 2025 – Runoff Election (if necessary)

How to Request an Absentee Ballot

If you are unable to vote in person, you can request an absentee ballot before the April 7, 2025 deadline to ensure your vote is counted.

Ways to Request an Absentee Ballot:

  • Pick up a request form from the Cherokee Nation Election Commission Office

  • Download and print the form here.

  • Contact the Election Commission to have a form mailed, emailed, or faxed to you

Where to Vote on Election Day

District 11 voters have designated polling locations where they can cast their ballots in person on June 7, 2025. Knowing where to vote ahead of time ensures a smooth and efficient voting experience on Election Day.
